Privacy Policy

Hairsona lets you try on hairstyles and colors on your own photo. Your photo is sent securely to our AI service to create your new look, then deleted from our servers. We never store your face, share it, or use it to train AI models. You don't need an account, and we never ask for your name, email, or contact details to use the app.

Who we are

Hairsona ("Hairsona", "we", "us", or "our") is a mobile app that creates AI-generated hairstyle previews from a photo you provide. If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at appsbygaurav@gmail.com.

Your photo — the part that matters most

What we receive. The single selfie you choose, and only at the moment you tap to create a look. Simply browsing styles sends nothing anywhere.
Where it goes. Over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS) to our secure cloud function, which passes it to our AI provider, fal.ai, which runs the render on Google's Gemini image model to generate the new look. No account or contact information is attached, because there is no account.
How long we keep it. Your photo and the generated result exist only in server memory for the few seconds it takes to create your look. They are never written to a database, disk, or file store, and are discarded as soon as the result is returned to your phone. Because nothing is ever written to storage, there is nothing to clean up — and a scheduled hourly sweep stands guard against any stray file a future change might ever leave behind.
No retention by our AI provider. We set a "do-not-store" flag on every request so your photo and result are not kept in our AI provider's platform storage, and they are streamed inline rather than parked on any content-delivery network. We do not use your photo to train or improve AI models, and do not authorize anyone else to.
What we never do. We do not build a face database, biometric templates, or face embeddings. We do not use your photo to train AI. No human reviews your photo. We never sell it or share it beyond the processing described here.
Where your finished look lives. The result image is saved only on your own device — in the app's history and, if you choose to save or share it, your photo library. We cannot see it.

Information collected automatically

To keep the app working, secure, and improving, we and the service providers below process limited technical data. None of it includes your photo, and none of it is linked to your real-world identity.

Product analytics (Google Firebase Analytics). Anonymous, aggregated usage events — for example completing onboarding, starting or finishing a try-on, seeing the paywall, or a render failing. These events carry no photo data and no contact information.
Crash & performance diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics). Device model, operating-system version, app version, and crash traces, so we can find and fix bugs.
Abuse prevention (Firebase App Check + a random install identifier). Your device generates a random identifier and an app-integrity token that we use only to enforce the free daily limit and block automated abuse. This identifier is a random value — it is not your device ID, advertising ID, phone number, or any personal identifier — and on our server it is stored only as a one-way hash next to a per-day counter. Reinstalling the app creates a new one.
Ads (Google AdMob). If you watch a rewarded ad to unlock your daily free look, Google's ad SDK processes limited data to deliver that ad, including your device's advertising ID, which AdMob uses to serve and frequency-cap ads and to prevent ad fraud — even though ads in Hairsona are non-personalized. This is the "Device or other IDs" data reflected in our Google Play Data Safety disclosure.

We keep this technical data only as long as needed for the purposes above: analytics and crash diagnostics are retained for a limited period under our providers' default settings, and the hashed daily-limit counter resets each day and is periodically purged. None of it is ever linked to your photo.

Purchases

Optional Hairsona Premium subscriptions are sold and processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed through RevenueCat, which helps us unlock premium and restore purchases. We and RevenueCat receive a purchase/receipt token to confirm your subscription — we never receive your full payment card number. Service providers we rely on

We share the minimum data each provider needs to perform its function:

fal.ai, running Google's Gemini image model — AI image generation (processes your photo transiently, as described above).
Google Firebase (Cloud Functions, Analytics, Crashlytics, App Check) — hosting our render service, analytics, diagnostics, and abuse prevention.
Google AdMob — optional rewarded ads.
RevenueCat — subscription management.
Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing and app distribution.

We do not sell your personal information.

AI-generated content

Every look you create in Hairsona is generated by AI and is an edit of your own photo. Results are simulations and may not be perfectly accurate. If a result misrepresents you or is inappropriate, you can report it from inside the app; a report contains the style you chose, the reason you pick, any optional comment you add, and the same anonymous per-install identifier we use for the daily limit — never your photo.

How to delete your data

Your photo. There is nothing to request: your selfie and its generated result are never written to our servers — they exist only in memory for the few seconds it takes to create your look, then are discarded automatically. We keep no copy to delete.
Your finished looks. Saved looks live only on your own device. Delete any of them in the app's History, or remove them all at once by uninstalling Hairsona.
Analytics & diagnostics. The limited, anonymous technical data described above is not linked to your identity; the hashed daily-limit counter resets each day and is periodically purged. To ask a question about your data, email appsbygaurav@gmail.com.

Your rights & choices

Because we don't keep your photo and don't run accounts, there is very little personal data to act on. Where laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA apply, you have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data and to object to certain processing. We process analytics and diagnostics on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and improving the app (or your consent, where required). We do not "sell" or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by the CCPA. To exercise a right or ask a question, email appsbygaurav@gmail.com.

Children

Hairsona is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will address it.

Data location & security

Your data is processed on Google Cloud infrastructure and by the providers listed above, which may operate in or outside your country. Where technical data is transferred outside your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. We protect data in transit with encryption and instruct our AI provider not to retain your photo.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version, and material changes will be reflected here.
